Site Investigation - General
Site investigation is all about understanding and reducing risk. In so many cases, important decisions are made based on the information gained through a site investigation. You need to trust that this information will be reliable, accurate and on time.
We have been undertaking site investigations throughout the UK for over 50 years. In addition to our breadth of experience we also hold one of the UK's largest geology databases to draw upon.
A typical ground investigation might include a desk study, boreholes, CPTs, trial pits, in-situ field testing, geotechnical laboratory testing and contamination testing. This work is co-ordinated by our technical team, made up of about 30 geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists who range in experience from graduate level through to 45 years in the industry.
This depth of experience enables us to undertake some of the more unusual or complicated investigations. Indeed our ability to provide bespoke solutions has gained us a reputation for innovation within the industry.
All our engineers and geologists are experienced in soil and rock logging to BS5930, Eurocode 7 and other standards, such as Ciria C574 for chalk.
