Hot Stuff in Paris


One of our directors, Neil Parry,  finished the 2007 Paris marathon on Sunday 15th April this year in a time of 3 hours 24 minutes 7 seconds, in a position of 3,106 from 28,261 starters. This time was 3 minutes slower than his best and 9 minutes off his targeted London Marathon “GFA” qualification time, but as the temperature hit 30 degrees Celsius during the race he was glad to finish.


The race started spectacularly, running for a mile along the Champs Elysee and the route passed most of the major landmarks, finishing just short of the Arc de Triomphe, although Neil claims not to have seen many of them as “it was a little bit warm”.  He was also unaware of how silly the hat in the photograph looks, claiming that “they were giving them away at the 40km mark and I just shoved it on my head”. Apologies to Dr Seuss.
