Contaminated Sites

Our Geoenvironmental Division have developed the skills to determine contamination in ground and groundwater, assess the risks, find solutions for the problems, and monitor the situation, as well as organising and managing related activities on site and in laboratories. These include drilling, sampling, testing, monitoring, surveying and reinstatement. Some of their skills include: 

 

  • Phase 1 Desk studies
  • Phase 2 intrusive investigations, including sampling and arranging laboratory testing of soils, groundwater and ground gases
  • Phase 3 Remediation design, implementation and validation 
  • Site specific risk assessments for human health and the environment using current models including CLEA, SNIFFER and Environment Agency R&D20
  • Factual and interpretative reports
  • Ground investigation design
  • Geoenvironmental Consultancy
  • In situ testing, instrumentation and monitoring 

This Division also provides a specialist contracting service for the remediation of contaminated land.
