Soil and Rock Testing

Geotechnical Engineering Limited has its own UKAS accredited geotechnical testing laboratory, serving our Engineers and other labs, as well as our Clients on a subcontract basis.

We carry out a wide range of soils testing, from simple moisture content and classification testing through to effective stress and ring shear testing in accordance with BS 1377. We also undertake a wide range of tests on rocks in accordance with ISRM Standards.

We can arrange any specialist or contamination testing you may require by using a select list of subcontract laboratories with whom we have built relationships over a number of years.

We offer a free sample pick up service for reasonably sized schedules and, subject to work commitment at the time, we are able to offer a premium rate, 'fast track', testing service. Extended sample storage facilities are also available.
